After moving to Los Angeles in the spring of 2000, Triest quickly made connections in the entertainment industry. In addition to having the honor and privilege of playing guitar with 2 of his favorite bands, deadbyday and Lunatics On Parole, he did graphic art and designed websites for many acts in L.A. and elsewhere including the aforementioned groups as well as Hells Children, D℞ Pillb⌽X, Aslan, and Domination 101, with whom he expanded his role to include managing and booking. During this time, Gar was also a Night Manager at Sound Arena Studios in North Hollywood, Van Nuys, and Reseda, California locations.

Triest's work with deadbyday caught the attention of Manuel "Mutly" Velarde, who asked him to build a website for his band, Hells Children. It was thus that he met drummer Matt Rutherford. The two would play together later in Lunatics On Parole and again in AngelragE. After Velarde's passing in 2003, Gar created a tribute website, D℞ Pillb⌽X, and two of the songs on Ω (Omega) - This World and Oceans of Sorrow - are tributes to him.

In addition to creating graphic art and designing the band's website, Gar became Domination 101's manager and promoter, booking them among other places at B.B. Kings on Universal City Walk, a venue at the time notoriously inaccessible to heavier acts.
The Blair Witch Experience is a non profit, fan led annual camping trip and tour of the filming sites used in The Blair Witch Project. After completing the tour, the group screen the film and rare Blair Witch related videos together and have often been joined by cast and crew including co-creator Eduardo Sanchez. Gar designed posters, t-shirts, and a 2018 video trailer for the group.
